      Armenia, Greece to enhance cooperation in fighting crimes

      YEREVAN, July 3 (Xinhua) -- The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia and the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Supreme Court of Greece on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in countering crimes.

      The Memorandum was signed by Armenian Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan and Greek Supreme Court Prosecutor Xeni Dimitriou, according to a statement released by the Armenian Prosecutor General's Office.

      Under the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in the areas of combating organized crime, terrorism, corruption, smuggling, drug trafficking, illegal migration, human trafficking as well as economic and information technology crimes, the statement said.

      Armenia and Greece have signed multiple agreements on cooperation in various fields since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1992.
