JAKARTA, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand and Brunei Darussalam agreed on Thursday to cooperate and coordinate on exchange of information to battle radicalism and terrorism in the region.

The launch of the cooperation so called "Our Eye" was undertaken in Nusa Dua of Bali Island.

"Each nation has its own way to overcome the threat, so synergy and coordination is needed to secure strategic information," Indonesian Defense Minister Ryamizard Ryacudu said in launching of the cooperation.

With the synergy and cooperation it is expected that the move will sharpen assumption and prediction which will support authorities in making a decision to fight the deadly danger, according to him.

Besides, the nations will act fast and accurately so that it could minimize the number of victims, he was quoted by Antara news wire as saying.

The Southeast Asia region has been targeted by militants to build their strong hold, recruit new members and implement their suicide mission.

Dozens of people have been killed in the region, including in Indonesia, the Philippines and other countries in recent years as IS militants launched a spate of terrorist attacks.
