SYDNEY, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- A spectacular hole in one has seen South Korea's An Byeong Hun reclaim his lead on day two of the Australian Open on Friday.

An teed off for the afternoon session after watching American Matt Kuchar and Australian amateur David Micheluzzi take a joint lead, both playing seven under par in the morning wave.

However an ace at the 197-meter, par-3 15th hole, rocketed the former U.S. amateur champion back to the top of the leaderboard with a finishing score of eight under.

At 29th in the world rankings, Kuchar is the top ranked player at the tournament, living up to that mantle when he took the lead in the morning session, however he will have to settle for second place at the end of day two.

Joining him in second position is 22-year-old Micheluzzi who is bidding to become the first amateur to win the Stonehaven Cup since Aaron Baddeley in 1999.

Last week's New South Wales Open winner jake McLeod also finished with seven under in the afternoon session, joining a triple shared second place.
