      U.S. crude oil refinery inputs decrease last week: EIA

      HOUSTON, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil refinery inputs decreased during the week ending Dec. 21, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Friday.

      According to the Weekly Petroleum Status Report, U.S. crude oil refinery inputs averaged 17.4 million barrels per day last week, which was 58,000 barrels per day less than the previous week's average. Refineries operated at 95.1 percent of their operable capacity last week.

      Total product supplied over the last four-week period averaged 21.3 million barrels per day, up by 3.4 percent from the same period last year. Over the past four weeks, motor gasoline product supplied averaged 9.1 million barrels per day, down by 1.1 percent from the same period last year.

      Distillate fuel product supplied averaged 4.4 million barrels per day in the last four weeks, up by 7.7 percent from the same period last year. Jet fuel product supplied was down 10.3 percent compared with the same four-week period last year.

      U.S. crude oil imports averaged 7.7 million barrels per day last week, up by 233,000 barrels per day from the previous week. Over the past four weeks, crude oil imports averaged about 7.4 million barrels per day, 2.3 percent less than the same four-week period last year.

      U.S. crude oil exports averaged 3.0 million barrels per day last week, up by 644,000 barrels per day from the previous week.

      The weekly U.S. field production of crude oil averaged 11.7 million barrels per day, up by 100,000 barrels per day from the previous week.
